Leave the queen in her cage and place it between brood frames. The bees will gradually become accustomed to her pheromones. After 2–3 days, check if the cage has been opened by the bees. If not, gently release her. Avoid direct release immediately upon arrival.

Place her in a cool, quiet spot away from direct sunlight. Install her into your hive as soon as possible—preferably within 24 hours. Keep the cage upright and don’t open it until you're ready to introduce her to the colony.

Rejection is rare but can happen. To reduce the risk, ensure the hive is queenless for at least 24 hours before introduction. You may also use a slow-release method by keeping the queen caged for 3–5 days before releasing her.
